This site is not affiliated with the original Sneedacity team. I just bought the site from them for like 2 dollars.

About Sneedacity
Sneedacity is an audio recording and etiting suite forked from Audacity.
Unlike Audacity, we have removed all methods of telemetry and user data
collection from the source code. Consequently, Sneedacity is free, open source,
and respects user privacy. Moreover, Sneedacity is in active development in
order to extend functionality beyond that of Audacity. lol jk
If you're wondering where sneedacity is now, people were fighting about the readme way too much. Supposedly, there were some transgenders that attempted to remove the word "cuck" from the readme because tolerance or something. I don't know, I'm just paraphrasing others. They probably weren't transgender either.
Basically, though, Sneedacity is no longer being developed by the old crew and they probably died by not responding to one of those "reply to this post or your mom dies in her sleep tonight" posts.
The sign is a subtle joke. The shop is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed," where feed and seed both end in the sound "-eed," thus rhyming with the name of the owner, Sneed. The sign says that the shop was "Formerly Chuck's," implying that the two words beginning with "F" and "S" would have ended with "-uck," rhyming with "Chuck." So, when Chuck owned the shop, it would have been called "Chuck's Fuck and Suck."
Some people say it's short for Special Needs (S(pecial)needacity), but very few people use it that way.
Tenacity is the birthplace of Sneedacity. So, when Audacity was bought out by MuseGroup, there were concerns about privacy and sp00ky telemetry. So some folks decided to remove such telemetry from Audacity. There was then a naming vote for what to name the software. Sneedacity came in first by far, but the lead devs said no because that means special needs and you don't want to use a program called S(pecial)needacity and also because it's a 4chan meme (because 4chan's reputation is basically completely driven by one board that starts with the letter p and ends with the letter l). So, Tenacity won. There were then fights about this from /g/, whom really wanted Sneedacity, so they founded this site and started developing here. As for Tenacity, the lead developer was supposedly sent death threats, had their phone blow up (with calls), and had anons storming the capitol (of such developer's house).
The dev then stopped all development of Tenacity for the time being, but now Tenacity is back with no major controversy.
I do.
I'm not a fan of fancy German modern stuff, so I designed the site in Microsoft FrontPage. Just like the Sneeds would have wanted. Also, I like old stuff.
I'm a gummy bear farmer.
